How Anne and Sara came to start ANSA

Back to Notebook

Anne and Sara joined the British Parking Association within a few months of each other in 2022. Their paths crossed here and there in those early months — the odd shared task, a meeting in common — but it was at the start of 2023, working closely together on the AM-GO project, that they really found their stride.

It didn’t take long to realise how well they worked together. Their skills overlapped just enough to understand one another’s thinking, but for the most part each brought something the other didn’t — and between them they made a genuinely well-rounded team, able to see a project through from every angle.

Fast forward to 2026. A restructure gave them both something they hadn’t had in a while: time — to rest, and to think about what they wanted to do next.

As it turned out, that decision was partly made for them. While they were still weighing their options, former colleagues and clients kept getting in touch, asking for guidance on parking and transport matters.

The idea took shape over breakfast. Catching up, and reflecting on how much they’d enjoyed working together, the answer became obvious: stay colleagues, go into partnership, and offer the same honest, practical guidance — this time on their own terms. And so ANSA began.
